Regular visits to Collins GP Clinic and Telehealth Consultations will be bulk-billed during the COVID-19 pandemic if you carry a valid medicare card. Non-Medicare card holders will incur an A$65 fee for a Telehealth Consultation.

We are now offering bulk-billed TeleHealth Consultations to keep you safe, whilst also delivering the best healthcare advice to you in the comfort of your own home. All TeleHealth Consultations are Bulk-billed for valid Medicare Card holders.

What is Telehealth?

TeleHealth Consultations

Telehealth consultations provide the same high level of care and expertise by our practitioners but via a live Video Conferencing platform. This allows you to see, hear and speak with your doctor in real time about your health concerns but from the safety and comfort of your home.

This is particularly suitable to patients who are concerned about their risk of outside exposure to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to ensure all patients feel they can receive quality healthcare in a safe and comfortable environment.

To book, simply click on the ‘Book a TeleHealth Consult’ button below where you will be taken to a form to fill out your basic contact information. From there you will receive an email and a phone call confirming your appointment. The Dr. will make contact with you.

  • How can I book an appointment?

    For appointments, you can simply click on the button “Request An Appointment” on our website or by calling our friendly staff during our clinic business hours from Monday- Friday on (03) 9654 9135.

  • Should I arrive earlier to my appointment?

    We ask you to please attend our clinic 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete the required paperwork in order for our doctors to run on time.

  • Will I be able to fill out the New Patient Information form before I come in to your practice?

    Of course, we recommend to download and print a new patient information form that is found on our website and complete it before your scheduled appointment.

  • If I can’t make it to my appointment, will there be a cancellation fee?

    If you are unable to make it to your appointment, please call and inform us on (03) 9654 9135. A cancellation fee may apply.

  • Will I be notified when my results are ready?

    Our practice has a computerised recall and reminder system that complies with current RACGP standards. Please make an appointment 2-3 days after your tests are completed to discuss your results with the doctor.

  • Is there parking facilities nearby?

    Yes, there is street parking available in surrounding areas subject to MCC parking regulations.

  • Who will be able to access my medical information?

    Your medical record is a confidential document. It is a policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised staff members. A more detailed privacy policy is available at reception.

  • Will I be able to speak with a doctor over the phone if an emergency?

    Although most problems are best dealt with in consultation, a doctor will always be available during normal surgery hours for emergency advice. Our staff are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires an appointment, a return phone call from the practice or in an emergency dial 000.

  • Is your practice registered with the Translation and Interpreters Service?

    Our practice is registered with the Translation and Interpreters Service. If you require interpreting services please advise the receptionist.

  • Will my appointment be running on time?

    We will do our best to see all patients as close to their appointment time as possible, however, emergencies are given first priority.

  • I need to see a doctor about a problem that may require a longer appointment.

    If you want an insurance medical, Centrelink forms, review of a complex health problem, counselling for emotional difficulties, or a second opinion, please book for a longer appointment so that your problem will get the attention it desires. Please bring relevant letters and test results from other doctors. Some of these services are not claimable from Medicare and attract a fee.

  • How can I make a suggestion or comment about your practice?

    If you are unhappy with any aspect of the care you receive from this practice we are keen to know about it. Feel free to talk to your doctor or receptionist about any problems you have. We believe that problems are best dealt with within the practice but if still dissatisfied you may contact the Health Service Commissioner. Toll Free: 1800 136 066.

  • If I cannot attend your clinic, will a doctor be able to make a home visit?

    Our doctors will make home visits if absolutely necessary for clinic patients who cannot attend the clinic.
